Senior Associate



Shannon grew up in Blacktown, NSW. She studied law at the University of Western Sydney, Macarthur, before transferring to Southern Cross University at Lismore.

After completing her degree, she moved to Brisbane and completed her Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice at Queensland University of Technology. She was admitted to practice in July 2003.

Shannon started practice as a Wills & Estates lawyer with Harris Law and moved into Family Law when she and her husband, Luke Smith, purchased Smith & Associates in February 2007.

Shannon has been working hard behind the scenes in management and support tasks as she and Luke grew the business, but she has now taken on the role of Senior Associate in Family Law at the Beenleigh office of Smith & Associates.

Shannon enjoys all aspects of family law, but in particular, enjoys matters concerning children, such as custody and contact. Shannon is a firm believer in equal access to justice and her compassionate nature and great listening skills make her a fantastic family lawyer.

With her background in Wills & Estates, Shannon can assist with all types of Estate Law matters including complex wills, estate administration, family provisions applications and estate litigation.
